LONDON: Battle is on among world’s top smartphones to win against each other with respect to their camera result. Many iPhone 6 enthusiasts believe Apple’s latest handsets are on top of the list but others have some opposite opinion.
Apple fans are talking about the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus’s cameras, boasting of the excellent shots thanks to their new optical image and digital image stabilization features. Although they do take great pictures, but Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 4 has defeated both devices by far. The new phablet features a 3456 x 4608 16MP rear camera complete with optical image stabilization and HDR abilities. This knocks Apple’s 8MP camera with its newly updated sensors out of the park, and some users tend to agree, at least according to a survey taken on the popular tech website.
The folks took a series of photos with the LG G3, Sony Xperia Z3, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Apple iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S5, and Samsung Galaxy Note 4. They then displayed the photos side by side and surveyed over 6,000 people. Of those 6,000, 42.98% agreed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 won the camera battle, 22.32% thought the Apple iPhone 6 had the best camera abilities, 11.72% chose the Samsung Galaxy S5 as the best camera, 11.31% said the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 took the best photos, 7.02% sided with the Sony Xperia Z3’s camera, and only 4.64% thought the LG G3 had the best photo-taking abilities.
The photos were all taken outdoors, where the lighting had extremely good conditions for great photographs. It would have been interesting to see how the devices compared when they were in dimly-lit situations or not-so-ideal conditions. Regardless, it’s obvious the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 performs extremely well in well-lit conditions, much better than other high-end smartphones currently available on the market.
