The one to distract the attention of the world community from ongoing freedom struggle in Kashmir and the second to create controversy for Pakistan and China by claiming the words of thanks from some exiled Baloch leaders. However, all the conspiracies against the development of Pakistan are bound to fail despite the fact that many Indian agents are burning midnight oil to destabilize the country. Unfortunately, many brotherly Arab countries are allegedly involved in it as they see the development of the Gwadar port as a threat to their businesses.
According to Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal, out of $46 billion corridor projects, at least $18 billion have already been spent on the development of infrastructure while another $17 billion are in the pipeline. As a matter of fact, the economic corridor is not merely a road network, but a comprehensive framework of co-operation between Pakistan and China. The establishment of various industrial zones have been approved alongside the corridor in which the Chinese businessmen are taking keen interest. India and its allies are trying to fan insurgency and saboteur activities to harm the image of Pakistan before the international community. The Indian agents are in a state denial.The corridor is not onlythe economy of Pakistan, but the economy of the region and it must continue according to the schedule. The anti-Pakistan forces are trying to create misconceptions against the project and one way or the other they are creating an opinion to spread disappointment in the country. However, the minister has categorically denied any change in the blueprint of the project and there will be no alteration in the western route.
The Gwadar-Quetta route will be completed this year whereas the Gwadar-Khuzdar-Ratodero road will also be completed on time. Work on parts of the Lahore-Karachi Motorway is in full swing while the road from Burhan to DI Khan will be completed by June 2018. At least $35 billion will be spent on energy project and it is hoped the country will be rid of energy crisis by 2018. Pakistan is on the threshold of economic development and the government should beware of the Indian designs which has spread a network of its agents in Pakistan. They are present everywhere whether it is the media or any other field.
