KERALA: Two people involved in heroine smuggling attempt were detained by The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The two named Johnson M.T, 58 and Francis T.A, 53, both are theresidents of Thrissur, from Panikkal in Ernakulam.
NCB officials said the accused were trying to smuggle the drug to Kuwait. The two men will be produced in court on Saturday. The accused were arrested following information from four persons who were held from the Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery the previous day with over 3.7 kg of heroin in their possession.
The four Thrissur natives – Dileep T. Haridas, 27, Lijo K. Jose, 32, Shaheer P.H., 40, and Vijeesh I.R., 28 – allegedly conspired to smuggle the heroin to Kuwait.
