ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear three tax references carrying complaints against the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday (today).
Pakistan Telecom Mobile Limited had filed all three references challenging show cause notices issued to the company under the head of outstanding tax claims. A single bench of the IHC comprising Justice Aamer Farooq would hear the cases.
Pakistan Telecom Mobile Limited had filed the cases seeking restrictions for the Large Taxpayers Unit, Islamabad, from recovering outstanding tax amounts or making any other coercive move prior to the court’s directions on the issue.
Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), officers of LTU including commissioner Inland Revenue, commissioner Inland Revenue (Appeals) and Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) were made respondent in the case.
Pakistan Telecom Mobile Limited prayed that the assessment order issued by the LTU officer was illegal, unlawful and without legal grounds.
