ISLAMABAD: Hearing a number of tax matters, the Islamabad High Court dated in office hearing on a cases filed by M/s Attock Oil Company Limited and M/S Pak Telecom Mobile Limited during recent week of June.
IHC Single Bench comprising Justice Aamer Farooq heard the matters. The court was hearing references filed by M/s Attock Oil Company Limited and M/s Pak Telecom Mobile Limited. The appellant had filed submission against FBR field office, Large Taxpayers’ Unit, Islamabad.
Earlier, Justice Aamer Farooq disposed of the matter and barred the Large Taxpayers’ to take coercive action against the appellant aiming at recovering any outstanding amount under the impugned show cause notice.
The court also directed the respondent to hear appellant’s departmental appeal and submit compliance report within 60 days.
It is pertinent to mention that the court had also disposed of a matter submitted by M/s Wateen Telecom Limited challenging a recovery claim of outstanding tax Rs 467,033,209 few months ago. The appellant had filed the case against field office of FBR. Islamabad High Court also dated in office hearing on three income tax references filed by M/s Snamprogetti Engineering B V with directions to be relisted for rehearing. The bench, comprising of Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani heard the cases.
M/s Snamprogetti Engineering B V had filed the references in which the company had challenged a show cause notices issued by the Large Taxpayers Unit, Islamabad.
Hearing on M/S Pepsi Cola International Private was also dated in office by Justice Aamer Farooq with directions to the staff to relist the matter.

The court also heard a number of tax matter filed by different appellants. hearing on majority of cases was adjourned for post Eid dates.
