ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of cases filed against Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR).
A division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Noorul Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah heard two customs references and directed the office to set their next date of hearing. The bench also directed the counsels in cases to ensure their presence on important hearing of next date.
The court issued these directions in cases filed by M/s United Express and M/s Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited. Both the companies had made ATIR main respondent in cases.
M/s United Express and M/s Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited had challenged ATIR decisions regarding unpaid duties by the appellants.
