ISLAMABAD: FBR Chairman Tariq Pasha, FBR Members and senior officers lauded the services rendered by outgoing Member HRM Nasir Masroor Ahmed.
While addressing a farewell ceremony held in honour of outgoing Member HRM Nasir Masroor Ahmed, FBR Chairman Tariq Pasha said that outgoing Member HRM Nasir Masroor has been very close to him for last three years and considered these years very pleasant.
During his address, Member Customs Zahid Khokhar said Nasir Masroor is two-year senior to him and he found Nasir an innocent person that’s why he reached the top position. Member Customs said Nasir made strong decisions during his service for the betterment of the department.
In his address, Nasir Masroor said that working in FBR is a great honour for him because the FBR provides chance to interact with other departments and people which cause the officers a great learning process. He added that he joined civil service in 1983. During his tenure as Member Customs, he not only chased the assigned revenue targets but also surpassed them.
Talking on the occasion, Collector MCC Islamabad Dr Saeed Khan Jadoon said that, during his tenure as Member Customs, Nasir Masroor removed the hurdles of Torkham and Chaman. He said that 100 of containers of smuggled goods passed through Chaman border but now only two or three containers pass through the said border. In this way, the genuine business was promoted due to the interest of Nasir Masroor on Chaman border.
The officers attended the occasion comprise Chairman FBR Tariq Pasha, Member Customs Zahid Khokhar, Member Administration Tasneem Rehman, Member Taxpayers Audit Rehmatullah Wazir, Chief International Customs Asad Rizvi, Chief Collector North Sarwat Tahira Habib, Collector MCC Islamabad Saeed Khan Jadoon, Collector MCC Peshawar Gul Rahman and Customs officers of grade 17 and above.
