HYDERABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Hyderabad has generated revenue of Rs200.256million as customs duty and taxes during the first week of February 2017.
According to details, the department collected Rs58.674million as customs duty, Rs134.856million under the head of sales tax, Rs0.750million as federal excise duty (Special FED) and Rs5.976million as Withholding Tax (WHT) during the abovementioned period.
The MCC Hyderabad received revenue of Rs02billion in the first week of February 2017 and expects to achieve the target during February by Rs221million as customs duty ( CD), Rs966 million under the head of sales taxes (ST), Rs02.06million as federal excise duty (FED) and Rs45million as withholding taxes (WHT), so the MCC has fetched total Rs1234 million to the national exchanger.
Under the supervision of Hyderabad Customs Collector Agha Shahid Majeed Khan, Additional Collector (HQ) Rehmatulah Vistro, Additional Collector Omar Shafique, Deputy Collector Shahid Ali Abbasi and Superintendent Statistical Revenue Mohammad Yaqoob Pasha played important roles in revenue collection, officials said.
The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Hyderabad, State Warehouse, has fetched Rs02million to the national exchequer through auction of smuggled items in the last week of January 2017.
The two impounded vehicles Toyota Land Cruiser and Sera car and other goods including Rani Juices and soaps earned Rs02million through auction including duty and taxes during the last week of January 2017.
Model Customs State Warehouse Hyderabad Assistant Collector Shahid Iqbal and his team comprised Deputy Superintendent Syed Saleem Shah, Inspectors Saleem Ajmeri, Abdul Rauf Qureshi, Allauddin Qaim Khani and Havaldar Muhammad Hussain.
