BUDAPEST: Daily share turnover on the Budapest Stock Exchange came to HUF 7.3 bln in August, up 10% from July and 14.1% from the same month a year earlier, the bourse said on Tuesday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
market turnover was more than HUF 146 bln for the month, including about HUF 140 bln in share turnover. Concorde Securities was the most active broker in August, generating HUF 74.8 bln of share market trades or 28% of the total.
WOOD and Company was runner-up, accounting for 18.4% of turnover, followed by Erste Befektetési with market share of 14.4%. On the derivatives market, 672,000 contracts were sold with a combined value of HUF 214 bln. Contract numbers were up 9.9% in August compared to the previous month.
