CALIFORNIA: Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced its fiscal 2Q16 results. It reported revenue of $12.7 billion—a 1% rise YoY (year-over-year) and a 5% rise YoY on a constant currency basis. The strong dollar (UUP) also affected the revenues of Apple (AAPL), HP (HPQ), and IBM (IBM) in the last quarter and in 2015.
Non-GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) diluted EPS (earnings per share) came in at $0.42, meeting the company’s guidance of $0.38–$0.42. GAAP diluted EPS came in at $0.18, above the guidance of $0.13–$0.17. In comparison, GAAP diluted net EPS came in at $0.16, and diluted non-GAAP EPS came in at $0.43 in fiscal 2Q15.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise CEO Meg Whitman stated that “today’s results represent our best performance since I joined in 2011. The businesses comprising HPE grew revenue over the prior-year period on an as reported basis for the first time in five years. We also had strong quarterly performance in every one of our business segments and generated more than $500 million in free cash flow.” This was the fourth consecutive quarter in which HPE’s revenues have risen.
