KHATMANDU: Alexander Terentyev, founder of Baltic Forwarding Company LLC registered in Priozersk, has been detained for non-payment of taxes for 300 million rubles in Moscow. This was reported by 47news.
A criminal case against the entrepreneur has been instituted under part 2 of Article 199 of the Criminal Code (Tax Evasion). Fontanka reports that Terentyev is the sole owner of the enterprise and has the status of honorary consul of Nepal. In addition to the company, the detainee owns Ambasador hotel on Rimsky-Korsakov Street, St. Petersburg.
According to the investigation, the founder Baltic Forwarding Company was acting in collusion with his chief accountant. They provided false information deliberately underestimating the amount of the tax base for the period of 2014-2015. As a result, the tax that was paid to the state was illegally reduced by at least 293 million rubles, the Leningrad region press service concluded.
