Honda to launch 10 refreshed models starting from CB Unicorn 160cc in Jan

NEW DELHI: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India kept “cautiously optimistic” about 2015 as it considered that strategy steps like sequence of excise duty release and government support to rural areas would act as a catalyst for growth next year.
“We are cautiously optimistic for 2015. Policy decisions on issues like 4 per cent excise duty relief and government support to rural ecosystem which will go a big way in boosting sales and improve the industry sentiments paving the way for the next year,” HMSI Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Y S Guleria said in a statement.
The company, which plans to launch a mix of 10 refreshed and all new products in 2015, has sold 29,49,850 two-wheeler units so far in the current fiscal (April-November), a growth of 25 per cent over the same period of previous year.
“2014 marked the start of new era for Honda in India. We have a made a good start. Honda grew at 25 per cent in this fiscal year and gained customer trust in 2014,” HMSI President & CEO, Keita Muramatsu said.
Next year, Honda will launch more than 10 refreshed models and all new products, starting from the CB Unicorn 160cc in January, he added.
