PESHAWAR: The Hazara Customs Station has done a brilliant Job by collecting Rs728.55million in November FY2017-18 which is more than the collection of previous FY2016-17.
This was stated by Collector Customs at the Customs House Peshawar on Thursday while talking about the revenue collections and performances of the Hazara Customs Station.
The Collector Customs was informed by the customs staff about the different measurements which led to the generation of more revenue on which Collector Customs Gul Rahman lauded the arrangement made to enlarge the duty procedures in the region.
The revenue collected under the head of Customs Duty (CD) is Rs227.87million against Rs176.78million CD generated under the same month of previous FY 2016-17.
The Hazara Customs Station received Rs3.26million Sales Tax (ST) in November FY2017-18 against Rs2.4million ST done in November of previous FY2016-17.
In the same way, an amount of revenue collected as ST on palm oil is Rs134.85million, and Rs24.72million has been generated as Federal Excise Duty.
The Collector Customs said while being in a talk with Customs Today that the Hazara Customs Station along with the all Auction Cells of the Anti-Smuggling Units has earned a duty of Rs728.55million from July to November of current FY2017-18 which is a great progress.
The Collector Customs directed the Customs staff to continue the efforts in order to sustain the brilliance of revenue collection till the end of current FY2017-18.
