KARACHI: The Gwadar Model Custom Collectorate has foiled a bid to smuggle narcotics worth million of rupees during a successful raid.
Collectorate of Gwadar Saeed Akram received information that a huge quantity of narcotics is smuggled from Afghanistan. Consequently, he formed a team under the supervision of Aftab Ullah Shah. The team started checking of vehicles at Kher Khira check post and intercepted a truck. During the investigation, the team recovered 82 kilograms charas and 300 grams chemicals of heroin from secrets cavities worth more than Rs 5.2 million.
The officials intercepts the smuggled narcotics and arrested two persons including driver. The team has a field case under the customs law and further investigation is underway.
