LAHORE: Pakistan Goods Transporter Association (PGTA) urged the provincial government to restrict customs officials for illegal raids on truck stands and imposed fines.
On Saturday, Provincial Minster for Transport Jahanzaib Khichi while talking with representatives of Pakistan Goods Transporter Association assured to solve the issues of transporters.
The meeting was in continuation in which the Pakistan Goods Transporter Association put pressure on the government that if the illegal threat to the transporters will not stop then transporters will stage protest.
During the meeting Pakistan Goods Transporter Association representatives told provincial minster that government to play vital role to stop the Federal Board of Revenue for imposition of illegal taxes on transporters.
They urged government to take steps to restrain the customs officials to stop for raids on truck stands and fines to goods transporters.
After hearing all problems of Pakistan Goods Transporter Association provincial minister ensures transporters that government will solve all problems.
