ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar Saturday said that the government had not imposed any tax on milk as reported in a section of press.
The minister, in the post-budget press conference, said there was no increase in the price of milk as only packed yogurt and cheese had been taxed.
The minimum price of a packed yogurt unit was Rs 90, mostly used by affluent class and it would be appropriate if the rich contributed some rupees to the national exchequer, he added.
Ishaq Dar said in the budget making process, interest of the common man was focused.
