GEORGIA:The Thomasville resident for 2015 officially state that subjects include economic development, tourism, highway streets, community blight, industrial development, leadership and other areas related to his 52 years as a Thomasville resident and as past president of the South Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Thomasville Thomas County Chamber of Commerce.
The theme of his relates to the future of the community as well as a perspective of the past and present Thomasville. We know that communities are born. They grow, they die and some just wither on the vine.
In Thomas County, we have a classic example of three cities Boston, Meigs and Pavo. With committed hometown leadership, Boston is struggling to survive and is making an outstanding effort to be relevant in a changing world. Meigs and Pavo are withering on the vine and are failing to maximize their potential.
