RIYADH: It reduced the General Customs Department to carry out the necessary export to two documents only, where abolished the requirement to attach a certificate of origin within the export documents documents, in support of national products and to facilitate the procedures for export abroad. He pointed out the circular issued by His Excellency the Director General of Customs, Mr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Hagbani, addressed to all customs ports for the adoption of termination of export without having to attach request a certificate of origin procedures facility as a document with the export statement, pointing out that this does not mean the abolition of the certificate of origin, where the source is released later and submit them to the importer in the importing countries away from export procedures.
The HE Director General of Customs, that this comes from the Kingdom draws in the promotion of national exports and enhancing the investment environment of the Kingdom by facilitating export procedures and reduce its documents, especially since the issuance of the certificate of origin requires additional procedures may cause delays in the export of national products. The circular pointed out that the certificate of origin may be the requirement for the importer in some countries, especially countries with preferential agreements held, but it is not a requirement or a requirement to end export procedures in the ports of the Kingdom.
By applying this decision, limited to necessary to complete the export of national products to the two documents only documents, namely the invoice and bill of lading, after the nine documents earlier this year.
