ISLAMABAD: The Customs Collectorate Gilgit Baltistan (GB) collected revenue during month of November financial year (FY) 2016-17 under head of all duty taxes amounting Rs.450.212 million against the given target for same month was amounting Rs.224.5 million while GB collected revenue under head of all duty taxes amounting of Rs.1826.26 million during first five months of current FY2016-17.
According to details told by Assistant Collector Gilgit Baltistan Akbar Jan during an exclusive interview to Customs Today hear, he said that GB will follow Strict and speedy examination and clearance during this financial year 2016-17, the GB is following these measures because it want to maintained the performance of 2nd quarter (October to December FY16-17) as it collected record revenue in the history of Sost dry port during 1st quarter (July to September) FY2016-17.
He said that during 1st July to 30th November FY 2016-17 the Collectorate of GB collected revenue amounting Rs.752.622 million under head of Customs duty adding that the GB collected revenue amounting Rs.13.630 million under head of Customs duty during month of November FY2016-17.
The Akbar told that during first 5 months of FY16-17 the GB collected Rs.100.714 millions under head of regulatory duty (RD) as for as GB collected revenue under head of RD amounting Rs.27.697 million during month of November 16-17.
Assistant Collector GB adding that during above said period the GB collected revenue under head of redemption fine amounting Rs3.935 million as for as GB collected revenue under head of redemption fine amounting Rs.1.290 million.
He further told that during July to November 2016-17 the GB collected revenue under head of total CD amounting Rs.857.471 million as for as GB collected revenue under head of total duty amounting Rs.197.193 million during FY November 2016-17.
He said that during first five month of FY16-17 GB collected revenue under head of sales tax (ST) amounting to Rs.613.302 million as for as GB collected revenue under head of ST amounting Rs.169.246 million during month of November FY16-17.
He told that during first five months GB collected revenue under head of Additional Sales Tax (AST) amounting Rs.92.053 million as for as GB collected revenue under head of AST amounting Rs.22.809 million during month of November 16-17.
He said that GB collected revenue under head of total ST amounting Rs.705.355 million during first five months of financial year 2016-17 as for as GB collected revenue under head of total ST amounting Rs.192.055 millions during month of November FY16-17.
Akbar said that GB collected revenue under head of Income tax (IT) during first five months of FY16-17 amounting Rs.263.562 million as for as the GB collected revenue under head of IT amounting Rs.60.964 million during month of November2016-17.
He said that during first 4 month of financial year 2016-17 the Sost dry port cleared less containers but import figures have increased 45% then the correspondence financial year 2015-16, during correspondence year in same period the GB cleared 920 containers head of import value of Rs.1724.326 million.
Regarding performance of GB during last month Assistant Collector said that up to 14th November of current financial year GB cleared 149 containers under head of import value amounting Rs.551.702 millions as for as during same period of correspondence year the GB cleared 302 containers head of import value amounting Rs.1.209 million adding that this performance shows that during current financial year the performance of GB is more better then last financial year.
He added that during month of October FY16-17 GB cleared 210 containers head of import value amounting Rs.1097.082 million as for as during same period of correspondence year GB cleared 197 containers head of import value amounting Rs.505.753 millions.
