LAHORE: A new terminal at Wagah border is being constructed for the facilities of traders of Pakistan. The Federal Board of Revenue has approved the funds for the construction of new terminal to promote the facilities between Pakistan and India.
According to sources of Customs Today, District Coordination Officer Lahore will acquire the land for this purpose. Sources of Customs Today said the DCO Lahore will acquire the land of 10 acres at Wagha border under Section 4.
The capacity of the old trade terminal is not enough to accommodate the trade activities at the Wagha border. During the arrival and departure of Sikh pilgrims, heavy rush creates problems for customs officials in clearance.
