ISLAMABAD: A division bench of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) will hear 11 cases filed by the departmental staff against the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday. The cases carry alleged denial by the FBR to extend ‘special allowance’ to its employees.
An FST division bench comprising members Ishtiaq Ahmed and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi would hear the cases. These cases were filed by Amjid Ali, Shahzad Muhammad Amir, Ali Gohar, Shahid, Syed Jamil Shah, Mehboob Ali Khan, Muhammad Ishfaq, Asadullah, Gohar Zaman, Attaullah Khattak, Muhammad Ashraf, , Javed Alam and others.
All of these appellants had asked the tribunal to ensure provision of special allowance equal to 100 percent basic pay by the FBR.
Meanwhile, two other benches of FST adjourned hearing of cases filed against FBR. Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Nazir Saeed heard the cases filed by Sardar Ghayas, Muhammad Amir Farooq for implementation; by Muhammad Ishtiaq, Ghulam Ali Sahito and Syed Muhammad Rafi for interim relief, and couple of promotion cases filed by Ghulam Akbar Chandio and Lutfur Rehman. The bench directed the counsels involved to provide related documents and dated hearing in office.
Syed Rafique Hussain Shah, Nazir Saeed and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi would hear around 30 promotion cases filed by Faqir Muhammad, Sirajulabdin, Muhammad Khalid, Riaz Ahmed, Khalid Akhtar Abbasi and others. These cases clubbed together and then hearing was adjourned.
