ISLAMABAD: A division bench of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) will hear five promotion and two cases of dismissal on coming Monday.
A division bench of the FST comprising Members, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed, would hear the cases filed by employees of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Appellants had filed complaints challenging different measures taken by the board’s administration pertaining to the affairs of employees promotion to higher scales and dismissal from services.
Rukhshanda Babar, Ahmed Hussain, Fakhre Azam, Sami ul Haq and Noor Jamal had submitted promotion matters before the tribunal which would be heard by the said bench on Monday.
They had prayed the tribunal to direct the department to grant their due scale at the board by ordering their promotion as per rules and regulations. They had complained that the board’s administration had not acted upon their application filed before it and was pursuing a policy of ignoring those applications in violation of board’s rules. They also prayed the tribunal to decide the cases at the earliest in order to bring justice to them which had been denied despite serving for years at the department. The bench would also hear couple of other cases of ‘dismissal’ filed by Sajjad Hussain and Haroon Ahmed.
They had prayed tribunal to set aside board’s orders sanctioning their dismissal and reinstate them as they were suffering from board’s unlawful conduct.
The bench would also hear another case of interim relief filed by Irfan Khokhar. He had filed his case in 2016.
