ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal adjourned the hearings on eight service matters during the fourth week of February filed by employees of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The tribunal was hearing complaints filed by employees of the Federal Board of Revenue challenging various administrative measures taken by the board.
The division bench, comprising of Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed, heard the cases filed by Muhammad Nawaz Kiyani, Aftab Ahmed Razzq, Fakhr-e-Azam, Sami-ul-Haq and Noor Jamal.
Among the petitioners, Muhammad Nawaz Kiyani had filed a complaint regarding the provision of special allowance; Aftab Ahmed Razzqi had done matter relating to ‘seniority’ while Fakhr-e-Azam, Sami-ul-Haq and Noor Jamal had filed complaints on ingenuine ‘promotion’ by the FBR administration.
They had prayed the tribunal to ensure their promotion in higher grades as per rule of the department.
Hearing the aforementioned cases, the bench issued fresh directives to the counsels for provision of documents and details of similar cases.
The FST bench, comprising of Muhammad Rafique Hussain Shah and Muhammad Hamid, heard cases filed by Lal Zaman, Touseef Chaudhry and Ahmed Hussain.
Lal Zaman had filed a case about the compulsory retirement and challenged the board’s decision before the tribunal.
Touseef Chaudhry had filed a case about the dismissal from services and prayed the court to reinstate him to the service. Ahmed Hussain had filed a matter on the stoppage of increments. The board had stopped his three increments pending with the board. He had asked the tribunal to direct the board for issuance of increments.
