ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal (TST) has heard plenty of service matters, challenging administrative measures of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) during third week of September.
Only division benches heard the cases at the FST which carried matters about un-granted ‘promotion’, complaints related to “seniority’, ‘implementation’, ‘grants’ and ‘allowances.’ Decisions on few cases were reserved during the week.
FST division bench comprising Members, Ishtiaq Ahemd and Dr Nazir Saeed heard a case filed by Hayat Muhammad Khan and reserved its decision.
The appellant had submitted a complaint regarding his promotion at FBR which he said had not been granted to him since serving the department for years.
Meanwhile the bench adjourned hearing of Muhammad Ishaq’s case carrying a ‘seniority’ matter while Wilayat Ali Shah submitted plea on ‘promotion, Tariq Masood’s case who had filed a case on ‘reduction to lower stages’.
Hearing of following promotion cases from Irshad Ghafoor, Muhammad Chanzeb, Ashraf Noor and Syed Asifullah was also adjourned.
The bench comprising of Chairman FST, Justice (r) Sayed Zahid Hussain and Member Javed Iqbal Kasi heard the cases involving matters of ‘promotion’, and ‘seniority.’ The bench would rehear cases in next month after submission of department’s objections or response over the said cases.
According to details showed that implementation case had been filed by Rashid ul Wahab and matter of promotion was filed by M Ishtiaq. Both the employees of FBR had submitted their cases before the tribunal during 2016 on which the department had yet not filed objections.
Ghulam Ali Sahito and Syed M Rafi had filed seniority cases before the tribunal. They had prayed the tribunal to direct the FBR to award them their due seniority according to the department’s regulations.
Same bench also heard ‘dismissal from services’, ‘implementation’ and ‘officiating charge’ matters filed by Muhammad Sulaman Javed and Adnan Khurshid Cheema, respectively and adjourned till next month.
