ISLAMABAD: Various division benches of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) adjourned the hearings of a plenty of cases, challenging actions of the administration of the Federal Board of Revenue during the first week of November.
These cases were heard by FST benches: Ishtiaq Ahmed and Syed Muhammad Hamid, Ishtiaq Ahmed and Dr Nazir Saeed, and Rafique Shah and Dr Nazir. Members adjourned the hearing of the cases to different dates.
Members, Ishtiaq Ahmed and Syed Muhammad Hamid heard petitions filed by FBR employees Sajjad Haider and Muhammad Shafiq. The bench heard arguments on the cases by sides and then adjourned for further proceedings.
FST division bench comprising Member Rafique Shah and Dr Nazir heard 13 cases carrying complaints against Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The bench took arguments only on couple of cases out of them and adjourned hearing. These cases were pending with tribunal for months. These cases had been filed by Attique Ahmed Abbasi, Zeeshan Zafar, Mian Muhammad Shahzad, Mian Asif Mehmood, Ch.Muhammad Sajid, Ahmad Din, Rizwan Jillani, Muhammad Younas, Muhammad Hussain, Muhammad Rafique, and Abdul Basit
Ishtiaq Ahmed and Dr Nazir Saeed heard and adjourned cases filed by Akbar Ali Shad, Qaiser Khan, Muhammad Asfandyar Janjua, Shafqat Mahmud, Khalid Mehmood and Muhammad Hamayon, who had submitted complaints on ‘seniority’ and promotion.
