ISLAMABAD: A division bench of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Monday adjourned the hearing of various cases filed by its employees carrying complaints about ‘promotion’.
A division bench of the FST comprising Members, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed, heard the cases. On the last hearing, the FBR counsel submitted board’s report on the cases of promotion and dismissal filed by the employees of the FBR. The bench had asked the board to submit a reply to the cases on the next hearing.
Appellants had filed complaints challenging different measures taken by the board’s administration pertaining to the affairs of employees promotion to higher scales and dismissal from services.
Rukhshanda Babar, Ahmed Hussain, Fakhre Azam, Sami ul Haq and Noor Jamal had submitted promotion matters before the tribunal.
They had prayed the tribunal to direct the department on grant their due scale at the board by ordering their promotion as per rules and regulations. They had complained that the board’s administration had not acted upon their application filed before it and was pursuing a policy of ignoring those applications in violation of board’s rules. They also prayed the tribunal to decide the cases at the earliest in order to bring justice to them which had been denied despite serving for years at the department.
Sajjad Hussain and Haroon Ahmed had submitted complaints about dismissal. They had prayed tribunal to set aside board’s orders sanctioning their dismissal and reinstate them as thy were suffering from board’s unlawful conduct.
