ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Tuesday heard five cases, challenging administrative measures taken by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
FST Chairman Justice (r) Syed Zahid Hussain and Dr Nazir Saeed heard three cases filed by Muhammad Suleman Javed, Muhammad Nawaz, and Muhammad Shakeel Akhtar. The bench adjourned the hearing following absence of the main counsels from the tribunal.
However, the tribunal issued directives to the representing counsels to submit related documents prior to the next hearing. The bench would resume the hearing of the cases in October.
Muhammad Suleman Javed had prayed to tribunal to ensure implementation over its already given decision; Muhammad Nawaz had challenged dismissal from services, and Muhammad Shakeel Akhtar had challenged removal from services.
Another bench of FST comprising Members, Muhammad Arshad Bhatti and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi adjourned hearing of the case filed by Ahmed Hussain.
Members Ishtiaq Ahmed and Dr Nazir Saeed dated in office hearing of a petition filed by Sher Afgan Ali. He has filed a review petition asking the tribunal on review the decision given on his ‘promotion’ case.
