ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal adjourned the hearing of eight service matters filed by employees of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The tribunal was hearing complaints filed by employees of Federal Board of Revenue challenging various administrative measures taken by the board.
Division bench comprising Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed heard cases filed Muhammad Nawaz Kiyani, Aftab Ahmed Razzq, Fakhr-e-Azam, Sami-ul-Haq and Noor Jamal.
Among the petitioners, Muhammad Nawaz Kiyani had filed a complaint regarding provision of special allowance; Aftab Ahmed Razzqi had filed matter carrying matter relating to ‘seniority’; while Fakhr-e-Azam, Sami-ul-Haq and Noor Jamal had filed complaints on un-granted ‘promotion’ by the FBR administration. They had prayed the tribunal to ensure their promotion at higher scales as per rule of department.
Hearing the aforementioned cases, the bench issued fresh directives to the counsels for provision of documents and details of similar cases.
FST bench comprising Muhammad Rafique Hussain Shah and Muhammad Hamid heard cases filed by Lal Zaman, Touseef Chaudhry and Ahmed Hussain.
Lal Zaman had filed a case about compulsory retirement and had challenged board decision before the tribunal about it.
Touseef Chaudhry had filed a case about dismissal from services and prayed the court to reinstate him to the service. Ahmed Hussain had filed a matter about stoppage of increments. The board had stopped his three increments pending with the board. He had asked the tribunal to direct the board on this for issuance of increments.
