ISLAMABAD: Three benches of the Federal Service e Tribunal (FST) heard over a dozen service matters during third week of October.
Complaints challenging different administrative measures of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) were heard by the FST benches comprising Justice (r) Syed Zahid Hussian and Member Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi; Ishtiaq Ahmed and Javed Iqbal Kasi; and Syed Rafique and Dr Nazir Saeed.
Justice (r) Syed Zahid Hussian and Member Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi held hearing of only one case filed by Haroon Ahmad. The bench adjourned hearing till second week of November following submissions by the counsels seeking time to frame arguments on the case about the dismissal of Haroon Ahmed from services.
FST Division Bench comprising of Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed heard cases filed by Muhammad Nawaz Kiyani( Special Allowance), Aftab Ahmed Razzqi s, Fakhr-e-Azam, Sami-ul-Haq and Noor Jamal.
Muhammad Nawaz Kiyani had filed a complaint regarding provision of special allowance; Aftab Ahmed Razzqi had filed matter carrying matter relating to ‘seniority’; while Fakhr-e-Azam, Sami-ul-Haq and Noor Jamal had filed complaints on un-granted ‘promotion’ by the FBR administration. They had asked the tribunal to ensure their promotion at higher scales as per rule of department.
The bench also heard other cases and issued directives to department for submission of reply while hearing a number of cases filed against the Federal Board of Revenue by appellants Shafqat Mahmud, Khalid Mehmood, Ghulafm Ishaq Kiyani, Ata ur Rehman, Inam ul Haque and others.
The bench heard Shafqat Mahmud’s complaint about ‘Promotion’; Khalid Mehmood’s case of ‘Seniority’; Ghulafm Ishaq Kiyani and Ata ur Rehman’s cases on ‘Withholding of two Annual increments’. The bench adjourned hearing till next week after issuing the directives.
Another bench of FST comprising of Ishtiaq Ahmed and Javed Iqbal Kasi also heard several service matters.
Among these cases, Jan Muhammad Afridi had submitted a a complaint about ‘Implementation’ over FST earlier given decision; Rakshanda Aziz Babar and Shaukat Hussain had filed ‘complaints on ‘Promotion’.
The benches, after hearing initial submissions, adjourned hearing of cases till next month. FST administration would set the new dates of hearing for the said cases.
