LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has asked the investigation team of the Pakistan Customs to complete an investigation challan of the case of 14 kg gold smuggling. Earlier, the court has extended the 14-day judicial remand of accused Muhammad Riaz in the said notorious case.
Accused Muhammad Riaz was arrested by the customs authorities after the rejection of a pre-arrest bail plea by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Accused Riaz is the main accused in smuggling of gold into Dubai.
Earlier, the customs authorities had arrested two female suspects involved in smuggling of 14 kg gold and currencies at the Multan International Airport.
