HELSINKI: Seasonally adjusted output of the national economy fell by 1.1 per cent in April from the month before, according to Statistics Finland’s data. Adjusted for working days, output fell by 1.2 per cent from April 2014. Working-day adjusted output grew in March by 0.9 per cent from March 2014, the revised data show.
The revision was caused by the benchmarking of the data to quarterly accounts. Working day adjusted change of total output from previous year’s corresponding month, %. Working day adjusted primary production went down by two per cent, secondary production by three per cent and services by close on one per cent from April 2014.
Primary production refers to agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing. Secondary production includes manufacturing and construction.
