KARACHI: The Federal Ministry of Finance has asked the Pakistan Customs and other departments concerned to finalise and present the budget proposals for the fiscal year 2015-16 before May 29, it is learnt here.
Sources informed Customs Today that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), through a letter, has informed all collectorates and directorates to finalise their budgetary proposals before May 29 as per the directives issued by the Federal Ministry of Finance.
In this regard, the collectorates and directorates have expedited their working in order to finalise the recommendations and suggestions for the upcoming budget for the fiscal year 2015-16.
The sources informed this scribe that the all concerned Collectorates and Directorates of Pakistan Customs have almost finalise its budgetary proposals and 80 percent working on the said assignment has been finalised.
Replying to a query, the sources confirmed that the all concerns Collectorates and Directorates will send its final recommendations and proposals for upcoming budget before May-29.
They further said that the FBR authorities concerned further asked the field formation Collectorates and Directorates to ensure submission of recommendations by the end of next week.
It is pertinent to mention here that the MCC-Appraisement (West), MCC-Export and Directorate of Reforms & Automation have already finalised its budgetary proposals in which they recommended amendments in Customs Act, 1969.
