KARACHI: The state-of-the-art self-developed WeBOC (Web Based One Customs) has been dysfunctional since Friday evening apparently due to some software problem, Customs Today has learnt.
The Pakistan Customs, wing of the FBR, has developed the IT-based WeBOC for paperless filing of the Goods Declaration (GDs) and other functions. However, the system has been shut down due to reasons best known to the FBR high ups, sources told Customs Today.
According to sources, the WeBOC system went out of order and the functioning of the system has not been restored as yet. “We are being told that some upgradation work is being done on the software and it would be made operational soon,” sources disclosed.
