LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue’s Regional Tax office II Lahore Withholding Tax (WHT) Wing has attained 95 percent revenue of the set target during November of current fiscal year.

Sources said that RTO II WHT wing has tried to meet the target given by the FBR and they said exact figure of the WHT will be shared with media later after rechecking. Sources also informed that WHT wing was scrutinizing the filers and non-filer taxpayers to enhance the efficiency of the wing.

They revealed that there were some taxpayers who registered themselves for all categories like importer, exporter, retailer, wholesaler etc whether or not they fall in the mentioned categories. They added such taxpayers did not file their statements and affect the performance of the wing. They said that WHT wing of RTO II was inspecting all those dead accounts.
