ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) team has visited Bahria Town Rawalpindi to apprise residents of the Tax Amnesty Scheme.
Official sources said that on the special directives of Commissioner Large Taxpayer Unit Islamabad, an FBR team comprising Additional Commissioner-IR Mohammad Jawad, Deputy Commissioner-IR Khursheed Aslam, Assistant Commissioner-IR Adnan Jabbar and IRO Ismail Rehman under the supervision of Commissioner-Inland Revenue Zulfiqar Ahmed has visited the Bahria Town Rawalpindi and met builders, real estate advisors and property dealers and informed them regarding the government announced Tax Amnesty Scheme.
Sources added that a large number of residents, administration and other stakeholders of Bahria Town Rawalpindi were invited to attend the awareness campaign so that they could take advantage of Tax Amnesty Scheme.
The team informed them that the basic aim behind this scheme is to allow those holding undeclared properties and assets both in Pakistan and abroad to disclose them by paying nominal tax and become part of the tax system. He advised the traders and business community to take advantage of this scheme as the last date of this scheme is July 31, 2018.
