ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) issued notification for promotion of four officers of Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) from BS-20 to BS-21 with immediate effect.
As per notification, Mr. Faiz Ahmad, Mr. Gul Rehman, Dr. Fareed Iqbal Qureshi and Mr. Ahmad Reza Khan are promoted to Grade-21 with immediate effect.
Faiz Ahmad is performing his duties as Director, Directorate of IPR Enforcement (Central), Lahore after relinquishing his charge as Collector Preventive Lahore from 8 February, 2019. As Collector Preventive Lahore he worked efficiently and adopted zero tolerance policy against smuggling. In multiple operations under his supervision, Preventive teams seized non-duty paid goods and foreign currency.
Mr. Gul Rehman is performing his duties as Chief at Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad from February 2.02.2018 after relinquishing the charge of the post of Collector, Model Customs Collectorate, Peshawar. Gul Rehman was promoted to BS-20 when he was a Collector at Model Customs Collectorate, Peshawar on June 1, 2015. He had also worked as Director (OPS), Directorate of Transit Trade, Quetta and Director (OPS), Directorate of Post Clearance Audit, Karachi.
Dr Fareed Iqbal Qureshi is performing his duties as Collector, Model Customs Collectorate of Preventive, Karachi from February 2019. Earlier he worked as Chief at FBR Headquarters Islamabad from 14 March 2017. He had also worked as Collector, Model Customs Collectorate (Appraisement-West), Karachi from 7 March, 2017. He had also performed his duties as Customs Adjudication-I Collector Dr Fareed Iqbal Qureshi where he decided several high-profile cases of tax and duty evasion.
Ahmad Reza Khan after his transfer from Collector, Collectorate of Customs (Adjudication), Lahore is performing his duties as Collector, Collectorate of Customs, (Appeals), Islamabad from February 2019. Earlier he had performed his duties as Collector Customs Sialkot.
