ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) prepared first draft for three years development strategic plan which is expected to be moved for final approval next week, it is learnt here.
According to official sources, the FBR chairman has earlier established four important working groups for suggestions and recommendations on the three years development strategic plan which is being prepared with the collaboration of World Bank.
These four groups submitted their suggestions and recommendations of the plan and now the board has prepared first draft of the plan which is under finalization and will be moved forward to finance ministry for approval, sources confirmed.
Sources also added under this three years development strategic plan after the consultation of World Bank, the government aims to bring reforms in the institutional framework, compliance, ICT and tax policy of the board. Sources also told that these reforms are almost technology basis. While regular meeting of the FBR chairman with working groups are also being conducted on weekly basis for the early finalization of the plan.
It is also important to mention here that the World Bank team is also present in Pakistan and the board is in consultation with the team for the said plan.
