FBR forms committee for implementation of agreed tax proposals

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has constituted a three-member special sub-committee for the implementation of tax proposals proposed by the Tax Reform Commission.

According to the details, the committee will be headed by Member Customs Nasir Masroor Ahmad, Member Inland Revenue Policy Rehmatullah Wazir and Member Strategic Planning Reforms and Information Technology Dr Muhammad Iqbal.

It is important to mention here that during the meeting with Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar it was decided that agreed sales tax proposals may be implemented within a short time but due to some unknown circumstances the process of implementation was very slow. But now the committee will speed up the process and will make recommendations.

After the approval of committee these recommendations will be present in the meeting of high power implementation board of Tax Reform Commission for final approval.
