KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to take action against tax defaulter luxury vehicles with the start of new colander year 2016.
Sources said that FBR will take legal action against non-taxpayers those have not been paying tax on sale and purchase of vehicle for last two years.
The sources added that the department will freeze the bank accounts of tax defaulters those did not have national tax number but after issuing notices to them at first stage.
As per details, almost 14,106 luxury vehicles were imported up to November of current fiscal year, while 4,041 vehicles were imported only in October, 2015.
On the other hand, the FBR has directed all collectorates to ensure the tax recovery to its maximum limit.
