ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue has directed Gas distribution Companies to pay its Rs. 5 billion dues till May 31, 2018. FBR has issued notice to the companies to pay the dues till May 31.
According to the details, FBR has directed the gas distribution companies to refrain from delaying the payment of the dues and pay Rs. 5 billion dues collected from the consumers under the head of sales tax.
Meanwhile the FBR also cautioned the companies that the Board will freeze bank accounts in case of not following the deadline.
Sources told that these companies are using delaying tactics to clear the outstanding dues. These companies collected this revenue from the consumers in the utility bills under head of sales tax.
It is also important to mention here that FBR is using all available resources to recover outstanding dues from defaulter companies
