SIALKOT: Customs Collector reshuffled the duties of inspectors according to service procedure on the special instructions of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Reportedly, the FBR and higher customs authorities instructed all Customs Collectors of Model Customs Collectorates in the country to reshuffle the staff which has been performing duties at one place of posting for the last three years.
However, the Sialkot Customs Collector Ahmed Reza Khan reshuffled the inspectors and transferred Inspector Muhammad Mansha from Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) to Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) and Inspector Muhammad Arshad from SDPT to ASO.
The transferred Inspectors relinquished their charges and assumed their news charges. It is learnt that the Collector has instructed to Deputy Collector Head Quarter Muhammad Hanif prepare lists of all employees who were performing duty on one place of posting from last three years. The Collector also instructed deputy collector final the list of these employees within a week so that complete the process of reshuffling of these employees without any delay. It is learnt that the various employees are trying that their name don’t mention in the list of reshuffling while they are seeking approach of Politicians and bureaucrats to stop their transfer. When Custom Today Contacted Personal Staff Officer (PSO) to Collector Mussadaq Shah he told that the procedure of reshuffling will complete on merit basis whereas no recommendation of any politician and bureaucrat will consider for this purpose.
