KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to collect tax from famous search engine Google by 2016.
According to the Regional Tax Office (RTO) sources, FBR is searching new ways to boost its revenue and tax collection from Google is also part of FBR’s new strategy. Sources further told that India has fined 760 million rupees to search engine Google for showing low income in their documents two years ago.
FBR will monitor Google’s activities regarding its revenue in Pakistan, sources added.
