PESHAWAR: Federal Revenue Alliance (FRA) Peshawar chapter has urged Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Tariq Bajawa to approve their service structure and ensure 100 per cent Son Quota for the employees.
Talking to Customs Today, FRA Peshawar chapter President Mohammad Irshad Baghi said that like other parts of the country, FBR employees in Peshawar office were also languishing in different problems and they had not been promoted since long.
“Every FBR officers get promotion after three and five years but the lower staff of the Board is ignored in the promotion process,” Irshad Baghi lamented. He said that it is right of every government employee to get timely promotion and up – gradation but the case is completely different in FBR. For a long time, the lower division clerks have been working in grade seven, while upper division clerks have been working in grade nine, they all must be upgraded, he added.
The FRA Peshawar chapter president demanded that these clerks should be upgraded to grade-nine and grade 14 respectively, whiles their names should be changed to Junior Auditor and Senior Auditor. He also demanded due share in FBR foundation which was not for the senior officers only.
“No medical facilities in the hospitals for the employees of federal government and instead of giving 2,000 as medical allowance, they should be given free medical treatment in leading hospitals of the city, he demanded, vowing that they were united with central union for their rights and no stone would be left unturned to keep up their struggle for up-gradation and service structure.
