ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has audited withholding tax of Telenor Pakistan (Pvt) Limited to determine the deduction and deposit by the mobile phone service provider company.
According to a circular issued by the FBR, the board constituted a team in this regard.
It said that a detailed discussion was held with Islamabad Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU) Commissioner Shakeel Kasana and the following team had been constituted, with the approval of the competent authority to attend meeting with Telenor personnel on December 6: Kashif Younas, Second Secretary (BDT-IT), FBR; Dr. Waseem Ahmed, Chief Manager (SA&D), PRAL; Ali Abbas Mirza, Manager (Data Integration) PRAL and Hamid Mehmood, Senior DBA, PRAL.
The team was directed to analyze Telenor’s IT System and make a comparative analysis of the real-time reports from Telenor’s system and the data earlier provided by Telenor to FBR for the period July – September 2017. The team would also discuss with Telenor the proposal for real-time data transfer for better analysis based on accurate data.
