ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has assigned revenue collection target of Rs 207 billion for August 2016.
Sources told Customs Today that FBR Member Inland Revenue Operation Dr Mohammad Irshad has already issued necessary instructions in this regard. It is necessary to mention here that the FBR is quite optimistic about achieving the assigned target in due course of time. Sources said that the FBR has also directed all Large Taxpayers Units (LTUs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) to submit their revenue collection reports daily.
FBR already made it clear that any negligence in achieving revenue collection target will not entertained and those RTOs and LTUs who will not achieve revenue collection target will have to explain the reasons behind their failure. FBR Member Dr. Mohammad Irshad himself is monitoring the revenue collection measures on daily basis and is contact with all chief commissioners in this regard.
