ISLAMABAD: Federal government has decided to introduce new policy to curtail the animal smuggling through Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran borders.
As per details, National Assembly’s Standing Committee for Trade has sent suggestions in this regard to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Sources said that FBR has been informed regarding the misuse of import and export licence for animals by miscreants. The committee has also directed the FBR to cancel the licence of trader, if anyone found guilty.
The smuggling of animals through Pak, Afghan and Iran borders is not only causing loss of national kitty but also creating shortage of meat in country.
