FAISALABAD: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Range Office Faisalabad, has seized the smuggling goods worth Rs50million involving duties and and taxes of Rs18million in different anti-smuggling activities during December of Fiscal Year 2017.
Officials said the Customs Intelligence conducted operations on the instruction of Director Muhammad Akram Chaudhry against the smuggling goods and smuggled vehicles in different areas of its jurisdiction including Sargodha, Khushab, Sara-e-Muhajir, DIG Khan and Faisalabad.
The teams confiscated smuggling items including foreign origin grey fabric weighed 425 kg worth Rs650000, F/O aphrodisiacs (sex medicines) including Vega, Cobra, Black Cobra Nisul and other ones priced at Rs26million, imported dry milk Milano, King cigarettes numbered five cartons, Shish smoking flavor numbered 1,200 packets, foil-papers for Hubble-Bubbles numbered 2,200 pieces valued at Rs800000, Hino truck bearing Registration No: P-3151 Peshawar worth Rs5million, Toyota Crown Car No: IDF-9336 priced at Rs2million and F/O sex medicines made in Hong Kong numbered 21,608 pills priced at Rs15million after the accused persons could not produce the required documents proving the legal import of the items.
The seizure cases have been referred to the Customs Adjudication for further legal executions.
