FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement collected Rs 891.43 million during August 2016 against the set target of Rs 611 million surpassing it by 280.43 million.
The Customs Appraisement collected revenue under the heads of customs duty (CD), sales tax (ST), income tax (IT) and federal excise duty (FED) during the said period.
According to the statistics available data with Customs Today, it collected Rs 245.69 million as customs duty against the set target of Rs 108 million.
The collectorate surpassed the target set for sale tax by Rs 133.22 million as it collected Rs 626.22 million against the set target of Rs 493.00 million.
It collected Rs 19.51 millions in wake of income tax during the said period against the set target of Rs 10 million and surpassed the target by Rs 9.51 million. It collected Rs 10,000 in wake of FED.
Customs Appraisement Deputy Collector Muhammad Pirzada Omar Qasmi says that the department already send notices to a number of tax defaulters in recent months asking them to clear outstanding tax dues at the earliest to avoid stern action.
