FAISALABAD: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement collected Rs1037.918 million during the month of November 2018 against the set target of Rs 1774.04 million, surpassing the target by 59 percent.
Customs Appraisement collected revenue under the heads of customs duty (CD), sales tax (ST), income tax (IT) and federal excise duty (FED) during the said period.
According to the statistics available with Customs Today, it collected Rs491.088 million as customs duty against the set target of Rs491 million.
The Collectorate surpassed the target set for sale tax by Rs1268 million as it collected Rs529.373 million against the set target.
It collected Rs17.437 millions in wake of income tax during the said period against the set target of Rs15 million and surpassed the target by 116 percent. It collected Rs0.020 in wake of FED.
Assistant Collector Ameer Ahmed said that the department has already sent notices to a number of tax defaulters in recent months asking them to clear outstanding tax dues at the earliest to avoid stern action.
