CANBERRA: ExxonMobil issued an LNG tender Monday for a DES cargo from Australia’s Gorgon project for delivery September 2-26, market sources said. The tender was expected to close Wednesday and be valid until Friday, they said. The facility, expected to have planned maintenance at Train 1 in September, has shipped 11 cargoes so far in August, compared with 18 cargoes in the whole of July. Total production from the Gorgon facility will total 15.6 million mt per year, accounting for 27% of projected Australian exports in 2017, according to Platts Analytics. ExxonMobil was not available for comment.
